Sean Matthew Riley

Sean Matthew Riley, 39, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Wednesday August 31, 2022 at his residence.  He was born December 20, 1982 in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky to Gene Riley and Lucille Bailey Romine.

Sean was a Montgomery County native, graduate of Montgomery County High School, member of Full Gospel Church in Clay City and a cook in the food service industry.  He enjoyed playing football in high school, watching his son play baseball, traveling and spending time on the beach.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.  

Sean is survived by his devoted mother; Lucille Bailey Romine (Bill) of Mt. Sterling; the love of his life; Stephanie Spurlock of Mt. Sterling; cherished son; Kaleb Spurlock of Morehead; two brothers; Wendell Fraley (Laura) of Mt. Sterling and Randall Fraley (Gina) of Elizabethtown sister; Robin Crouch of Jeffersonville; two nephews; Christopher Fraley (Kaitlyn) of Richmond and Alex Fraley of Mt. Sterling; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Sean was preceded in death by his father; Gene Riley and brother, Walter "Tubby" Riley.

Memorial Service will be held at 12:00PM on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.  Visitation will be prior from 10:00AM - 12:00PM.  Both will be held at Queen Street Christian Fellowship 10 North Queen Street Mt. Sterling, Kentucky 40353.  Pastor Scott Blankenship will be officiating.
