James "Jim" Martin Bell, 80, of Mt. Sterling passed away on Sunday Morning, December 26, 2021 at St. Joseph Mt. Sterling Hospital.  He was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on October 29. 1941 to the late Louis and Lima Hodges Bell.

Jim was a life-long resident of Montgomery County, of the Christian faith and a United States Air Force veteran.  Jim was athletic in his early years, he ran track and played softball.  He also loved anything racing, from go karts to dirt tracks.  He also enjoyed; traveling, listening to music, hunting, trap shooting, restoring old cars, collecting arrowheads, but most of all, spending time with his family.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Jim is survived by one son, Bart Bell (Carolina) of Lexington; two daughters, Georgette Greene (Mike) of Jeffersonville and Niki Kemper (Damian) of St. Augustine, Florida; five grandchildren, Dana Conn (Geordan) of Mt. Sterling, Collin Vice (Kasey) of Jeffersonville, Madison Bell of Palatka, Florida, Gracie Kemper of St. Augustine, Florida and Sophia Bell of Lexington; two great grandchildren, Kynleigh Conn and Harper Conn, both of Mt. Sterling.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his son, Richard "Dickie" Bell; three brothers, Earl Logston, Wendell Logston and William Bell; two sisters, Rowena Sullivan and Ruby Williams.

Funeral will be Sunday, January 2, 2022 at 6:00PM.  Visitation will be prior from 4:00PM to 6:00PM, both services will be at Jeffersonville Assembly of God.  Committal with Military Rites will be Monday at 10:00AM at Machpelah Cemetery.  Pastor Robbie Conn will be officiating.
