Obituary
Gary Jonathan Charles, 63, of Jeffersonville, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 12, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 30, 1960 in Frenchburg, Kentucky to the late Earl and Vina Fuller Charles.
Gary was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County, of the Christian faith and a member of Means Miracle Community Church. Gary was a veteran of the United States Army National Guard, retired employee of Lowe's and a graduate of Montgomery County High School, class of 1979. He enjoyed yard work, porch sitting and spending time with his beloved family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Gary is survived by his three brothers, Herman Charles of Jeffersonville, David Charles of Mt. Sterling and Everett Charles (Teresa) of Paris; two sisters, Patsy Sparks (Butch) of Jeffersonville and Shirley Montgomery (Greg) of Jeffersonville; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Gary was preceded in death by four brothers, Ralph Charles, Billy Charles, Herbert Charles and Luther Charles; two sisters, Mary Brown and Susie Oakley.
