Clara Sue Johnson Smith, 58, of Salt Lick, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was born in Menifee County, Kentucky on June 29, 1962. Clara Sue was the daughter of Elmer Clay Johnson and Louise Pergram Wells.
Clara Sue was a lifetime resident of Salt Lick, was of the Christian faith and a homemaker. She enjoyed; word searches, true story romances, shopping on facebook marketplace and loved the music of Alan Jackson. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. Clara Sue was dearly loved and will be missed by many.
Clara Sue is survived by her mother; Louise Wells; two sons; Johnny "BoBo" Curtis (Virginia) of Salt Lick and Timothy Curtis (Rebecca) of Owingsville; two daughters; Amanda Jewell (Rob) of Salt Lick and Heather Walker (Shane) of Salt Lick; eight grandchildren; Desirae Jewell, Daniel Jewell, Braylon Jewell, Jayden Curtis, Ryan Conley, Logan Walker and Peyton Walker; one great granddaughter; Emersyn Tate Jewell; three brothers; Lyndon Johnson (Angel) of Salt Lick, "Buzz" Johnson (Paula) of Owingsville and Jackie Wells (Sherry) of Olympia; two sisters; Audrey Ferrell of Preston and Carolyn Johnson of Salt Lick; Clara Sue had many nieces and nephews that were like her own children, she loved them dearly.
Clara Sue was preceded in death by her father; Elmer Clay Johnson; two sons; Elden "Bub" Curtis and Tyler Curtis; two brothers; Johnny "Booger" Johnson and Cecil Daniel Wells.
